 Dear Jean Ribault Daughters,

February and March have been busy for the Jean Ribault chapter. We have had lots of events and more are coming up

Our new member social on February 15 was a big success with lots of new members, transfers andprospective members attending. Our next social will by May 16 at 5:30 pm. Please plan to attend if you are a new member, prospective member or new transfer and you did not attend in February.

Sherry Saucerman presented an informative and interesting program on Pleasing Truths: Power and Portraits in the American Home on March 3. We had great attendance with 22 chapter members and community residents attending.

Jean Ribault members Heather Brenner, Linda Brenner, Connie Craven, Candace Kelly, Tracey Kenney, Gail Kish, Debbie Ortega, Lynda Padrta, Anne Ransom, Sherry Saucerman and I attended State Conference in Orlando. We heard first-hand all the wonderful accomplishments Daughters are doing across our state. Heather served as the chief personal page for State Regent Cindy Addison and got lots of exercise. Sherry Saucerman served as the finance guru for all things involving the State Regent’s Project, Linda Brenner made us proud as State Curator and member Debbie Ortega was recognized at the National Defense Luncheon for her work crocheting 125 poppies for favors.

Thanks to all the Daughters who put together our part of the centerpieces for the Thursday evening event and thanks to those who set them up. They looked great on the tables!

April chapter meeting will celebrate our chapter accomplishments and recognitions as well as our individual Daughters’ work. I hope you’ll attend to be recognized and learn what other Daughters have done. We have lots to be proud of!

On Saturday, March 16, seven Jean Ribault Daughters took a tour of the National POW/MIA Memorial and Museum. Please read Patti Guenther-Brown’s article about this memorable tour in the newsletter.

Members can look forward to two NSDAR Museum programs by docents Linda Brenner and Patricia Wilson on April 6. An email will be sent out for sign-up.

Please complete our annual survey. It will be sent through Wild Apricot in the next few weeks. We will use the information we receive from you to plan our upcoming events and activities.

Warmest regards,
Leslie May
Regent
